The Finish A Long link ups are happening now, here for link up. Number 2 in my link up finish posts, but number 1 in my list of proposed finishes is my #Belfast Bulletin, the Coulter Wedding Quilt no 2. The wedding quilt for my, I can't say second son, I have twins and this is the marginally younger son who got married. We have to be sensitive to these things! The quilt was listed in my original Finish A Long link up post here.
Anyhow the wedding quilt for my younger son.
Noooo .... the wedding quilt made for my son and his fiancée in 2018. That's better.
I made them a blue and green ombre quilt, based on a quilt pattern designed by Sarah Goer. I used Sarah's blue ombre quilt and added some green tones. I then made it bigger, a lot bigger. I am not the blogger you come to for facts and figures. Put it this way, it is big enough for a king size bed, so over 100" square. Or maybe it is longer than its width, I can't actually remember. I make it then move on to the next one.
Anyhow, here's some nice photos.

First comment Is my own
ReplyDeleteHi Helen, I think there is a comment fix so you don't have to make your first comment anymore. Check out Leanne from Devoted Quilter's blog for the how-to. And I enjoyed getting to see the wedding quilt again!
ReplyDeleteHi Helen! Really nice job on this quilt. I love how you laid out all the different shades and tones. Do you use a design wall? It resembles Postcard, doesn't it? I am not great about facts and figures as far as how big a quilt is or even what fabrics I use. Happy Happy Friday to you! ~smile~ Roseanne
ReplyDeleteThis is a great looking quilt. I'm sure it'll be well loved.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilt Helen! ...Happy weekend to you and yours x
ReplyDeleteExcellent on-location photos! My husband has always refused to tell my two who was born first, but I don't know how long we can keep it up.
ReplyDeleteSo very pretty! Great photo shoot, too!
ReplyDeleteWhoa that *is* big! This is one of my all-time favourite colour combinations. Beautiful finish! (BTW, Coulter is a family name for me - very cool!). Anyhoo, on behalf of the global hosts, thank you for linking up to the FAL.
