#2017 Planning Party

uiI can't understand where the last month has gone, I haven't blogged since the beginning of December. Not an intentional lapse, but just such a long time. Since I last blogged we have celebrated birthdays, (numerous), an anniversary, Christmas, a hospital homecoming, a homecoming from across the ocean and a weekend away. A busy time in all in all.

I missed Yvonne's round up of 2016 quilting hopes. I can't actually remember mine, but I'm assuming it was probably to finish up some wips, finish THE wedding quilt, and to strengthen and enjoy quilty friendships.

Well, I didn't, I did, and I have in that precise order.

Now what I do want for 2017? Much the same again I suppose.

I haven't joined any bees this year, I have decided to concentrate on selfish sewing, fun as the bees are. I also have my previous bee quilts to finish up.

I might well join another quilt a long. I really enjoyed the Shimmer Snow Flake quilt a long, nearly, nearly finished it.

I would like to make another quilt for my bed, using the Cotton and Steel fabrics my son bought me for Christmas.  More about that later I think.

I would like to collaborate with other quilters, with the Cotton and Steel fabrics above, and with hopefully some flying geese.

My daughter is hoping for a quilt or two in the near future.

Most important I would like to continue to enjoy this hobby, which for me is a much loved hobby and to strengthen those quilty friendships I have made. `

I think that is enough to be going on with!

  3. I'm sure this is a most achievable list Helen. I agree the most important goal is to enjoy your hobby, and find new friendships along the way.
